Curtain Wall Systems we design & supply

Unitized, stick-built and structural glass curtain walls for towers, hotels, hospitals and commercial buildings.

Unitized Curtain Wall
High-rise · Mixed-use · Hotels

Unitized Curtain Wall

Factory-glazed unitized panels arrive sealed and ready, then hook onto slab-edge anchors floor by floor. Unitized curtain wall cuts site labor, closes the building in faster and keeps quality under factory control, which is why it leads on Miami towers, hotels and condominiums.

  • Factory glazed panels
  • Floor-by-floor install
  • Stack-joint design
  • Slab-edge anchors

Stick-Built Curtain Wall
Low & mid-rise · Podiums · Lobbies

Stick-Built Curtain Wall

Mullions and transoms are installed on site and glazed in place. Stick-built curtain wall is the flexible choice for low and mid-rise buildings, podium levels, lobbies and facades that change from bay to bay.

  • Pressure-plate glazing
  • Captured or SSG
  • Thermally broken frames
  • Custom caps & fins

Structural Glazing & Point-Fixed Glass
Entrances · Atriums · Feature walls

Structural Glazing & Point-Fixed Glass

Structural silicone glazing (SSG) and point-fixed glass give a flush, frameless glass wall for lobbies, atriums and signature entrances. Our engineers design the glass, silicone, fittings and support steel as one assembly that can be approved in a hurricane zone.

  • 4-sided SSG
  • Spider fittings
  • Glass fins
  • Cable-net options

Questions

Curtain Wall Systems: FAQ

Do you work from architectural plans or only from engineered drawings?

Both. Send the architectural set and specifications and we will price the scope, propose a system and carry the engineering through shop drawings.

What is the difference between unitized and stick-built curtain wall?

Unitized panels are assembled and glazed in a factory and set as finished units. Stick-built systems are assembled piece by piece on site. Unitized favors towers and tight schedules; stick-built favors lower buildings and complex geometry.

Which counties do you serve?

Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Larger projects elsewhere in Florida can be reviewed case by case.

Do your systems meet South Florida hurricane requirements?

We select systems for the project's wind zone. In Miami-Dade and Broward (HVHZ) that means products with a current Miami-Dade NOA or an HVHZ-rated Florida Product Approval; in Palm Beach, Florida Product Approval. Approvals and calculations are submitted with the shop drawings.

Can you value-engineer a specified system?

Yes. When it helps the budget or lead time we propose equivalent systems and glass make-ups, always for the architect's approval.

Who designs the curtain wall engineering?

Our in-house engineering department develops the system, details and calculations, and the shop drawings are signed and sealed by a Florida-licensed professional engineer for the project.

What does a curtain wall bid from Aluconium include?

An itemized scope with the proposed system, glass make-up, finishes, engineering, approvals, fabrication and installation, with inclusions, exclusions and lead times listed so you can level the bid line by line.
